BMW Group Dialogues Rotterdam – Student & Stakeholder Poll

BMW Group

The #BMWGroupDialogues brought the question of how #CitiesInProgress can move towards a more sustainable city with modern urban mobility solutions to both students and stakeholders. The students identified congestion, lack of space and parking shortages as their top 3 mobility challenges. Stakeholders felt air pollution, C02 emissions and congestions proved their top 3 challenges.

It was agreed that seamless mobility solutions (perfect dovetailing of different mobility solutions) would be the direction that #Rotterdam should move towards in the future. Solutions to focus upon were recommended to the BMW Group, such as electric mobility solutions, autonomous vehicles, car sharing and charging infrastructure. The BMW Group is already committed to developing urban mobility in Rotterdam, recently signing an MoU with the city in a commitment to collaborate and bring about positive change.
