BMW M4 Concept (F82) Coupé

Twin-turbo 3.0 six-cylinder, inline engine which is designed to improve fuel consumption while increasing performance. This engine is derived from BMW’s new modular engine family, which will include three, four and six-cylinder diesel and petrol units, and is expected to deliver 438bhp and 480Nm of torque. That’s 24bhp and 80Nm more than in the old M3 Coupé, even though the newcomer weighs up to 100kg less. the M4 will be offered with the option of a six-speed manual gearbox. But the seven-speed twin-clutch DCT automatic version is expected to be the bigger seller. It’s too early for BMW make any comments yet in terms of price, but, the manual M4 is expected to start from around £60,000 — that’s around £5,000 more than its predecessor. The M4 will supposedly debut at the Detroit Auto Show in January, so we’ll see if this is all true then…
