A space for comfort and practicality can be found inside the four-door Gran Coupé. The BMW i4 sets class-leading standards for driving dynamics, long-distance comfort and electrifying looks. Fifth-generation BMW eDrive technology forms the basis for driving pleasure with zero tailpipe emissions. In the BMW i4 eDrive40 (electric power consumption combined: 20 – 16 kWh/100 km [62 miles] in the WLTP cycle, CO2 emissions: 0 g/km) a 250 kW/340 hp electric motor teams up with classical rear-wheel drive to enable locally emission-free driving with an impressive dose of sporting flair. It has a WLTP-calculated range of up to 590 kilometres (305 miles with 18-inch tyres and 275 miles with 19-inch tyres according to EPA label).

Specific design principle for the electric motors allows the use of rare earth metals to be avoided. Official data on power consumption and electric range were determined in accordance with the mandatory measurement procedure and comply with Regulation (EU) 715/2007 valid at the time of type approval. In case of a range, figures in the NEDC take into account differences in the selected wheel and tire size; figures in the WLTP take into account any optional equipment. WLTP values are used for assessing taxes and other vehicle-related charges that are (also) based on CO2 emissions, as well as for the purposes of vehicle- specific subsidies, if applicable. Where applicable, the NEDC values listed were calculated based on the new WLTP measurement procedure and then converted back to the NEDC measurement procedure for comparability reasons.
